Wallets
001
Through a licensed acquirer — you do not contract with the wallets yourself. Uniweb Pay enables WeChat Pay and Alipay+ on your merchant account, on the same Sunmi P3 terminal or checkout page as your cards.
Start
002
Three steps: sign up, upload your documents, go live once they are approved — days rather than weeks. Online applications are currently unavailable; email [email protected] and we will take it from there.
Apply
003
Business registration and the usual KYC and KYB documents a licensed institution has to collect. It is a document upload and review, not a self-serve instant signup.
Speed
004
Days rather than weeks, once documents are in and approved. We do not publish a guaranteed figure.
Methods
005
Eleven in all: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Diners Club and Discover; Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay+ and WeChat Pay; and Dynamic PayNow — a QR generated per sale, carrying the amount, with a payment-success notification. The same set in store, online and in-app.
Hardware
006
The Sunmi P3. It takes contactless, chip and insert, magnetic stripe and QR wallets, prints thermal receipts, and runs on 4G or Wi-Fi. Search any transaction on it, then void or refund it there.
Money
007
Settlement runs in T+1 batches, in Singapore dollars. The merchant portal shows every batch with its fees, and daily statements are available as PDF.
Licence
008
Yes — a Major Payment Institution under the Payment Services Act 2019, MAS Licence No. PS20200612. That is the higher of the two licence tiers, and it is verifiable in MAS’s own Financial Institutions Directory.
Fit
009
Settlement is SGD only, so a business needing USD, EUR or GBP should look elsewhere. It is merchant-side and Singapore-based: not a wallet, not a bank account, and consumers cannot sign up.
Cost
010
Rates are quoted per merchant rather than published. If you need a public card-not-present rate card to compare before speaking to anyone, other Singapore providers publish theirs and we do not.
Contact
011
Call or WhatsApp +65 8385 3698 — the same number for both, answered in English or Chinese. By email: [email protected] for merchant support and [email protected] for reconciliation. Existing merchants sign in at merchant.uniwebpay.com.

Alipay+
012
Alipay+ is Alipay’s cross-border gateway. Enabling it once reaches mainland Alipay users and a set of partner wallets from other Asian markets, so a single enablement covers more shoppers than mainland Alipay alone. On your account it is one payment method, settled like the rest.
Coverage
013
Alipay+, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay as both a card scheme and a QR rail. They sit on the same merchant account as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover, so a shopper who reaches for a Chinese wallet and one who reaches for a card are the same sale to you.
Scan
014
Both work. The shopper can scan a QR the terminal displays, or you can scan the payment code on their phone with the terminal. Alipay+, WeChat Pay and Dynamic PayNow all support both directions on the Sunmi P3.
Payout
015
Singapore dollars, in the same T+1 batch as your card takings. Wallet sales are not a separate payout and not a separate account — they appear in the same merchant portal and on the same daily statement.
Counter
016
No. Cards, wallets and Dynamic PayNow all run on one Sunmi P3. That is the practical difference from stitching a card terminal to a separate wallet arrangement: one device, one account, one reconciliation.
UnionPay
017
Yes, both. UnionPay is one of the six card schemes on the account — tap, insert or swipe at the terminal — and UnionPay QR is supported as a scan.
Refund
018
On the terminal. Search the transaction on the Sunmi P3 and void or refund it there, the same way you would a card sale — you do not raise a request and wait for someone to process it.
Reporting
019
The merchant portal shows the split by payment method against your GMV trend, so you can see what share of takings came from Alipay+, WeChat Pay or UnionPay. Transactions filter by method or by outlet and export to Excel.

Terms
020
The acquirer is the licensed institution that holds your merchant account, accepts the payment on your behalf and settles the money to you. A gateway is the technical route a card-not-present transaction takes to reach one. "PSP" is used loosely for either. Uniweb Pay is the acquirer — the licence is ours, not resold.
Checks
021
Four things. That they hold a Payment Services Act licence and which tier — look them up in MAS’s own Financial Institutions Directory rather than taking the website’s word. Which methods are on one account rather than bolted on. When money actually lands, and in which currency. And who answers when something breaks.
Compare
022
Start from your customers, not from the rate card. A café serving mostly locals is a different brief from a Bugis retailer where a third of the queue is paying by Chinese wallet. Match the provider to the methods your queue actually reaches for, then compare settlement speed, currency and support — the rate matters, but it is the thing you can negotiate.
Edge
023
Chinese and regional wallet coverage under a Singapore licence, on the same account and the same device as full card acceptance and Dynamic PayNow. Alipay+, WeChat Pay and UnionPay are what this company was built around, not a tile added late to a card product.
Record
024
Since 2015. It was the first overseas acquirer for Alipay in Singapore, and it is today one of the largest acquirers of Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay in the market, serving over 6,000 merchants. The MAS licence is verifiable in the regulator’s own register.
Limits
025
If you need settlement in USD, EUR or GBP, we settle SGD only. If you trade outside Singapore, the licence and the acquiring are Singapore-based. If you want a published rate card to compare before talking to anyone, other providers publish theirs. And if you want instant self-serve signup, a licensed institution cannot offer one.
Channels
026
Not with us. One merchant account covers all three, they settle into the same SGD payout, and they appear in the same portal and the same statement. Stitching a terminal vendor to a separate online gateway is the arrangement this replaces.
Parallel
027
Yes — merchants commonly add wallet acceptance alongside an existing card arrangement and move the rest over later once they have seen the reporting. Talk to us about which order makes sense for your outlets: +65 8385 3698, or [email protected].
