# 跨境交换费（Cross-border interchange）

当卡的发行国与商户所在国不同时，适用的那一档更高的交换费。它由卡组织规定，不是收单机构定的；所以在完全相同的商务条款下，服务境外访客的商户在卡通道上的成本，确实高于只服务本地持卡人的商户。

## 它对商户意味着什么

正是这一项，解释了为什么开在旅游街上的店铺，在同样的报价下要比一家一模一样、但不在旅游街上的店铺付得更多。它不是罚款，也不是某家服务商选的；但它确实意味着：客源以境外为主的商户，签约之前应该先问清楚，这份报价是怎么处理境外发卡的。
